  • Day 3: Jinghe - Sayram Lake - Yining

Transportation: Tourist Bus Catering: None Accommodation: Yili River Hotel

After arriving by car, have lunch and visit the most beautiful alpine lake - Sayram Lake. Sayram Lake is the last place where the warm and humid air current from the Atlantic Ocean lingers, thus it is called "the last tear of the Atlantic Ocean". With clear blue water and sky, snow-capped mountains reflected in the water, and blooming flowers, cows and sheep are leisurely grazing on the grassland. Photography enthusiasts can freely choose their favorite subjects for photography and creation. Take a car to tour around Sayram Lake and capture it from different angles. There is also a swan nature reserve on the west side of the lake, where swans are playing in the water. Return to Yining and take photos of the spectacular Guozigou Bridge on the way. Visit the Kazanqi Folk Custom Area, which is known as the "Folk Custom Museum". The people here prefer blue, giving a false impression of being in Morocco, Africa. The pointed wooden houses in the old town, the arched buildings with Central Asian style decoration, and the European-style small attics form a miniature Central Asian folk custom museum. Enjoy a pure Xinjiang Uyghur dance performance. Have dinner at a Uyghur restaurant and experience the pure Xinjiang flavor. Later, stroll around the popular "Six-star Street", feel the enthusiasm of the border people and the prosperous trade, listen to a song "Apple Fragrance", taste various delicacies, and return to the hotel to rest at the appropriate time.

  • Day 4: Yining - Xiata Ancient Road

Transportation: Tourist Bus Catering: None Accommodation: Xiata Pudong Liangli Hotel

After breakfast, travel by coach to the Lavender Manor for sightseeing and photography. Proceed by coach to the Xiata Ancient Road, then hike the Xiata Gorge Corridor in the afternoon. Towering cliffs rise like natural barriers on either side, while the Xiata River flows with shifting currents—sometimes gentle, sometimes swift. Behold a kaleidoscope of sights: bees and butterflies in flight, deer bounding through the landscape, and eagles soaring overhead, leaving one utterly spellbound. Gaze upon the mist-shrouded Muzart Snow Peak in the distance. Muzart is the very ‘Ling Mountain’ documented in Xuanzang's Great Tang Records on the Western Regions, the ‘bottleneck’ of the Xiata Ancient Road that the monk traversed during his westward journey. Enjoy a full afternoon of leisurely exploration. Return to the hotel at a suitable hour. After dinner, retire to your hotel for rest.

  • Day 5: Xiata - Tekes

We shall venture deep into the Karajun Grand Canyon, capturing aerial panoramic shots of the grasslands from the Falcon Platform. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the meadows, savouring the most authentic leisurely dining experience. In the afternoon, explore the Koksu Grand Canyon, photographing Karajun Lake, Crocodile Bay, and the meandering twists and turns of the Koksu River, alongside the breathtakingly beautiful human-shaped grassland formations.

  • Day 6: Tekes - Gongliu

Transportation: Tourist Bus Catering: None Accommodation: Gongliu Diecheng Grand Hotel

After breakfast, tour the Octagonal City of Tekes. Afterwards, we shall travel by coach to Qiaxi Forest Park, a rare haven for summer retreats, painting, and photography. Its landscapes blend majestic grandeur with exquisite beauty, earning it the epithet ‘Qiaxi's scenery is as beautiful as a painting.’ Countless literati and artists have composed verses and created ink paintings in its honour. Snow-capped peaks against azure skies, verdant mountains reflecting emerald waters, and the sweet fragrance of blossoms create a fairy-tale realm. Local herdsmen call it Awulya, meaning ‘heaven’. After exploring, proceed to the Kuerdning Scenic Area. Surrounded by green hills, winding streams, and emerald mountains, the grass stretches like a vast green carpet. Gaze upon distant snow-capped mountains and immerse yourself in the sea of forests nearby – its beauty defies description.

  • Day 7: Gongliu - Nalati Grassland

Transportation: Tourist Bus Catering: None Accommodation: Nalati Cultural Tourism Hotel

After breakfast, we shall drive to the Nalati Grassland. This world-renowned river valley grassland is dotted with mountain springs, and criss-crossed by streams. At the foothills, deep ravines cut through the mountains, rivers meander through dense forests, and the vast grasslands undulate gently. Pine cones line the ravines like pillars, while scattered yurts and herds of livestock drift like clouds, exuding the tranquillity and serenity of a mountain village. The exquisite grassland scenery blends with the local Kazakh folk customs, making it a renowned tourist and holiday destination in Xinjiang. We then continue our journey by car to explore the Sky Grassland and the River Vally Grassland.

  • Day 8: Nalati - Tangbra Grassland

After dinner, check into the hotel for rest.

  • Day 9: Tangbra - Duku Highway - Ürümqi

Transportation: Tourist Bus Catering: None Accommodation: Ürümqi Universal International Hotel

After breakfast, we shall journey by coach along the legendary Duku Highway, reputedly China's most scenic road. Upon arrival at Dushanzi Grand Canyon, witness the Tianshan snowmelt carve a deep gorge here. Weathered ‘clay sculptures’ adorn the sheer cliffs on both sides, each with unique forms and expressions. Up close, they resemble Buddhist statues; from afar, they appear like celestial beings. This is a natural sculpture museum, entirely formed by nature.
